Cascade is 1-9 against Forrest since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cascade Champions will head out on the road to face off against the Forrest Rockets at 6:00 p.m. Cascade will be strutting in after a win while Forrest will be coming in after a loss.
Cascade scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They walked away with a 59-49 victory over Grundy County. Cascade didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.
Meanwhile, Forrest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. Their rough 61-36 defeat to Community might stick with them for a while. Forrest has struggled against Community recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Cascade's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12. As for Forrest, they bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Things could have been worse for Cascade, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 47-28 loss to Forrest when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Cascade avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
