Prestonwood Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Glass, who threw for 340 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes. Prestonwood Christian didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Legacy Christian Academy to a completion percentage of just 48.7%. The Lions have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.59 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.59 in their last three games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Parish Episcopal). They breezed past Liberty Christian to the tune of 56-28 on Friday. Considering the Panthers have won five contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Parish Episcopal's win came from a few key players Prestonwood Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Logan Lucero, who threw for 341 yards and five touchdowns on only 16 passes. Those 341 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Jaylen Pile did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 149 receiving yards.
One reason for the win was Parish Episcopal's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Liberty Christian's QB won't forget Benjamin Rich anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Another thorn in the Warriors' side was Connor Corwin, who picked up 0.5 sacks and made 13 total tackles (2.5 for loss).
The win got Prestonwood Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Parish Episcopal, their record is now 7-1.
The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. Prestonwood Christian has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 294 passing yards per game. Parish Episcopal, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 213.5 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
Prestonwood Christian came up short against Parish Episcopal in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 61-55. Thankfully for the Lions, Sawyer Anderson (who rushed for 146 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, and also threw for 443 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 16.4 yards per attempt) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
