The Providence Prep Rams had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They breezed by Memorial Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 65-32. Providence Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Providence Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Asa Jackson led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five assists and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Maddox Billman, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Providence Prep is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Memorial Christian Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Prep will take on Sterling Classical at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Memorial Christian Academy, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Grace Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Grace Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday.
