The Geneva Panthers will take on the Wayne Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Geneva comes in on three and Wayne on ten.
Geneva had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Aquinas Institute on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Little Irish 15-8. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

| 04/15/26 vs Newark | 3 |
| 04/21/26 vs Waterloo | 2 |
| 04/13/26 @ Mynderse Academy | 2 |
| 04/23/26 @ Midlakes | 1 |
Geneva got a massive performance out of Alex Dorrington, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs. Dorrington has become a key player for the Panthers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Santos, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wayne). They never let Mynderse Academy get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Sunday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 9, 2023, but that streak is no more.
Kamden Frechette and Caleb Celso were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Frechette tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Celso struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Frechette has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Frechette went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Celso got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Connor Crawford was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Benjamin Smith was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Wayne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Geneva, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Geneva has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Wayne struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
