The Henderson Collegiate Pride lost against the Vance Charter Knights last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Henderson Collegiate fell 54-45 to Vance Charter. It was the first time this season that Henderson Collegiate let down their fans at home.
Vance Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nick Pentoney led the charge by scoring 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Hughes, who scored 11 points.
Henderson Collegiate's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for Vance Charter, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Henderson Collegiate will take on Voyager at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Voyager has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 800 points over their last 11 games. As for Vance Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Excelsior Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. Vance Charter is facing Excelsior Classical Academy at the right time seeing as Excelsior Classical Academy is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
