Mott-Regent's Tyler Zentner recorded the longest rushing play in 9-Man Region 4 (9 Man) this season in his game against Trenton/Trinity Christian last week. Zentner scampered for 85 yards on the play and finished with 128 on the day as his team defeated the Tigers.
Trenton/Trinity Christian suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after falling to Mott-Regent. The Tigers had been ranked 22nd, but fell to 26.
Ron Benson's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Taylor Zentner threw for 340 and four touchdowns and Zentner had 189 yards receiving. Jonah Honeyman helped Mott-Regent's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 84 yards.
The Wildfire's Zentner and Zentner have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Zentner has thrown for 1919 yards this season, while Zentner, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 45 catches for 1009 yards. Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky]'s Dylan Ruff leads the league in rushing yards with 1620.
Divide County extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Cougars, 64-26. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Maroons.
