Adrian Sanchez Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Glen Rose got the W thanks in part to Adrian Sanchez playing the best football he has all season. Sanchez picked up 175 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 60 yards.
Glen Rose's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Sanchez's next match is against Hillsboro on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Braylen Benson Turns in Season-Best Performance
Hillsboro was led to victory by Braylen Benson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Benson rushed for 104 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 57 yards.
The win got Hillsboro back to even at 3-3. Benson and Hillsboro are on the road again on Friday to play Glen Rose at 7:00 p.m.

Canyon Evans Delivers Electric Effort Vs Godley
Canyon Evans posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 30 yards. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Godley's probably not too fond of Evans given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Evans saw the Wildcats), he threw for 214 yards and four touchdowns.

Dunbar had to settle for second on Friday, but Ja'Marion Garrett sure wasn't going down easily. Benbrook had no answer to Garrett as he rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Dunbar has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Garrett and Dunbar will welcome Venus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Eight Total Tackles from Jacoryn Johnson
Jacoryn Johnson continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 17th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least eight total tackles. He forced a fumble and made 15 total tackles (4.0 for loss), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long.
This year, Johnson has averaged 11.5 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one forced fumble. This year he is already up to three.
