Buckeye has gone a perfect 4-0 against North Olmsted recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bucks will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
North Olmsted's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Buckeye hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Bucks never let Valley Forge get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Bucks have won nine matchups by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

At the plate, Buckeye got a massive performance out of Ava Piovarchy, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Piovarchy has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliana Melillo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Buckeye kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Olmsted). They put the hurt on Lakewood with a sharp 16-6 victory on Tuesday. The Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 7, 2025 (when they won 10-0).
Julianna Demain made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Demain was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Layla Salameh and Jocelyn Suckart did most of the damage at the plate: Salameh went a perfect 5-for-5 with five runs, two stolen bases, and one double, while Suckart went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Delaney Steimle was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and one double.
North Olmsted's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 3-10. As for Buckeye, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
North Olmsted's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Buckeye has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.5 hits per game. It's a different story for North Olmsted, though, as they've been averaging 9.7 hits. Given Buckeye's sizable advantage in that area, the Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
Buckeye got the 'W' in their previous matchup on April 13th against North Olmsted by a conclusive 21-2 score. Will the Bucks repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
