Towns County might have drawn first blood against Union County on Friday, but it was Union County who got the last laugh. Towns County were completely outmatched, falling 7-45 to Union County. The state rankings had actually given Towns County a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The loss dropped Towns County's record to 1-0. The win bumped Union County's record up to 1-0.
Next week, Towns County take on Andrews at Towns County High School at 7:30 PM. Union County will look to defend their home turf next week against Fannin County at 7:30 PM.
