The Woodstock Academy Centaurs will head out on the road to take on the Ledyard Colonels at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodstock Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Woodstock Academy came up short against Norwich Free Academy and fell 54-47.
Meanwhile, Ledyard was beaten by New London 75-33 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Ledyard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while New London is ranked 12th).
Woodstock Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10. As for Ledyard, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Woodstock Academy beat Ledyard 68-59 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodstock Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
