The Waverly Tigers have the luxury  of staying home for another  game and will welcome the Minford Falcons at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
 On Monday,  it was close, but  Waverly sidestepped Westfall for  a  3-2 win.
 Waverly took Westfall into a fifth set  where they got it done with a five-point win. After all that action, the final score was 18-25, 25-14, 15-25, 25-13,  15-10.
  Caris Risner was nothing short of spectacular: she  had 24  digs. She is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 15 or more in the last four games she's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sidney Johnson, who  had 21  digs.
 Meanwhile, Minford had just enough and edged Valley out  3-2 on Thursday.
 Minford took Valley into a fifth set  where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-9, 25-23, 21-25,  16-14.
 Minford had a senior duo take command as  Marissa Justice  had 11  digs and six  aces and  Brooklyn Pierce  had 16  digs. The dominant performance gave  Justice a new career-high in  aces.
 Minford  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 14  aces. That's the most  aces they've managed all season.
 Waverly's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-9. As for Minford, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
 Waverly came up short against Minford in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023, falling  3-1. Can Waverly avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
