The Southeast Pirates will take on the Newton Falls Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Southeast came out on top against United on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Golden Eagles. The win was familiar territory for the Pirates, who have now won three contests in a row.
Lilly Hayes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Hayes was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
