The Polytech Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by St. Georges Tech 78-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Polytech has scored all season.
Blair Thomas was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with four steals for St. Georges Tech. Another player making a difference was Joshua Obiora, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Polytech has fallen quite a ways from their 17-5 record last season and are now at 2-7. As for St. Georges Tech, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Polytech will head out on the road to square off against Caesar Rodney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Georges Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Concord at 5:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Concord is ranked 40th, while St. Georges Tech is ranked 22nd).
