On Friday Portland take on Lewiston at 7:00 PM. Portland have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Portland were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their contest against Bonny Eagle last Friday. Portland took a hard 7-24 fall against Bonny Eagle. The match was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but Portland were outplayed the rest of the way.
Meanwhile, Lewiston didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 13-19 to Cheverus.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
