The Helena Bengals had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They managed a 16-10 victory over Big Sky. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Helena also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Helena can attribute much of their success to Carter Kraft, who rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 167 yards and a touchdown.
Helena's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Big Sky, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Helena will square off against Skyview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Big Sky, they will head out on the road to face off against Billings West at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Billings West is ranked 26th, while Big Sky is ranked 47th).
