The Fitch Falcons will venture away from home to  square off against the Ledyard Colonels  at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, Fitch came up short against Hamden  and fell  51-44. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the  loss, Fitch saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Synaa Waters  posted 15 points along with six  rebounds and five  assists. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ada Ellis, who  dropped  a double-double with ten  points and 13  boards.
 Even though they lost, Fitch  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 11  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Ledyard). They claimed a resounding  77-40 win over Lyman Memorial. The Colonels have beaten the Bulldogs the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.
 Ledyard pushed their record up to 13-5 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for Fitch, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
 Fitch came up short against Ledyard when the teams last played  back in December of 2024, falling  54-46. Can Fitch avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
