The River Rouge Panthers will face off against the Chandler Park Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in River Rouge's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
On Friday, River Rouge made easy work of Rose Leadership Academy and carried off a 16-9 victory. Considering the Panthers have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Nathaniel Stallworth and Noah Stallworth were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Stallworth struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. Meanwhile, Noah pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Stallworth got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Noah got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. River Rouge is undefeated when Noah posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise.

In other batting news, Darius Thompson III was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of River Rouge's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Winston Brown was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

University Prep hit Chandler Park Academy with a four-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 6-6 tie.
River Rouge now has a winning record of 4-3. With that draw, Chandler Park Academy's record moves to 4-3-1.
Chandler Park Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: River Rouge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .395. It's a different story for Chandler Park Academy, though, as they've only averaged .247. Will they be able to contain River Rouge's hitters?
River Rouge took their win against Chandler Park Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 16-4 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
