Trinity Christian brought a two-game winning streak into their contest against Holy Innocents Episcopal last Friday; they left with a three-game streak. Trinity Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Holy Innocents Episcopal, sneaking past 17-14. No one put up better numbers for Trinity Christian than senior Zach Seymour, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 85 yards on the ground and accumulated 76 passing yards. Near the top of the highlight reel was Seymour's 70-yard TD bomb to Chase Metcalf in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, Our Lady of Mercy have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their game against Mount Vernon Presbyterian making it eight winless games in a row. Our Lady of Mercy were dealt a punishing 0-37 defeat at the hands of Mount Vernon Presbyterian. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Trinity Christian's win lifted them to 6-2 while Our Lady of Mercy's loss dropped them down to 0-8. We'll see if Trinity Christian can repeat their recent success or if Our Lady of Mercy bounce back and reverse their fortune.
