The Wakefield Wolverines typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday the Millbrook Wildcats proved too difficult a challenge. They breezed by the Wolverines on the road to the tune of 75-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Millbrook has posted since December 21, 2023.
Millbrook's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Colt Langdon, who scored 18 points. Langdon is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alex Olander, who scored 14 points.
When it comes to explaining why Wakefield lost, one person who can't be blamed is Syncere Burnette. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Taj Boone-Chambers was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Millbrook has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Wakefield, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3.
Millbrook will head out on the road to challenge Knightdale at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Wakefield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Heritage is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
