The Luther Knights lost against the Aquinas Blugolds back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Luther took a serious blow against Aquinas, falling 67-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Luther has scored all season.
Leading Aquinas to victory were Madeline Murphy and Samantha Davis. Murphy went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 2 assists, while Davis scored 25 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The game was Davis' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Dobbins, who scored three points along with five rebounds.
Luther's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Aquinas, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
Luther will finish 2023 at home by hosting Mondovi at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Aquinas and Westfield Area will round out the year against one another at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday at.
