Merrill's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They claimed a resounding 44-6 victory over the Webberville Spartans. The Vandals haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The victory got Merrill back to even at 1-1. As for Webberville, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Merrill and Webberville will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Vandals are set to take on their familiar foe Coleman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Webberville will face off against rival Fulton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
