Lincoln gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Greenland Pirates 26-25. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will challenge Westville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenland, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Berryville at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
