Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the McIntosh Chiefs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 48-15 loss at the hands of Warner Robins on Friday. McIntosh just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
When it comes to explaining why McIntosh lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elliott Sturbaum. Despite the final result, he rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
McIntosh has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Warner Robins, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
McIntosh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Warner Robins will take on Ware County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
