The biggest upset of the week belonged to PikeView, who took down 90th ranked PikeView, 14-13.
Aaron Lowe and Braden Harrah provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Wyoming East. The connection was good for 72 yards, the longest such play in Coalfield AA this season.
Steve Cook made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Warriors topped Sherman. The 5-foot-10 junior grabbed 2.0 sacks.
Dalton Davis put up the best numbers through the air as Webster County fell to Mingo Central. He finished with 6 completions for 83 yards. Davis' favorite target this week was Davis, who caught 5 passes for 80 yards.
Harrah was the best receiver in the league this week as the Tide lost to Wyoming East. Harrah racked up 3 receptions for 126 yards.
Coty Bishop provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Gary Poindexter's team defeated Sherman. Bishop's favorite target this week was Christian Hedinger, who caught 4 passes for 43 yards.
Bishop was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 132 yards on 6 carries as the Warriors fell to the Warriors. Nik Walker also contributed to the rushing game with 51 yards on the ground.
6-foot-1 quarterback Aaron Griffith of Wyoming East is the league leader in passing yards this season with 379. He has also thrown 7 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Davis. The Webster County star has 13 catches for 279 yards.
The top two teams in Coalfield AA will face off this week when first place Wyoming East takes on second place Summers County. The Warriors bested the Tide last week, while Summers County topped Grafton.
Liberty and the Panthers played the most contested game in the league this week, with Liberty eventually emerging with a 14-13 victory.
