Unaka had won two straight  games  and  Michelle Shields did her part to make it three on Friday. The Unaka Rangers breezed by the Washburn Pirates to the tune of  64-35 thanks in part to  Shields, who  went 7 of 15  on her way to 19  points. Unaka pushed their record up to 8-3 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.3 points. As for Washburn, their loss  ended  an  11-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 6-2.
 Unaka will head out on the road to  square off against  Twin Springs  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Unaka's favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  in their last three matches. As for Washburn, they will welcome University School  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
