Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Ramona Rams walked away with it. They took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-7 victory over the Vikings. The result was nothing new for Ramona, who have now won seven contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Ramona's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Royce Mendoza, who picked up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Despite the defeat, Pleasant Valley had strong showings from Titus Andrus, who rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown, and Lucas Benson, who rushed for 80 yards.
The victory was the sixth in a row for Ramona, bringing their record for this year to 11-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.8 points per game. As for Pleasant Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.
Ramona does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pleasant Valley also has no future games currently scheduled.
