Clovis North has gone 8-2 against Madera recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Broncos will look to defend their home field against the Coyotes at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Clovis North 2.5, Madera 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Clovis North's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Clovis West. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Jocelynn Gonzalez made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 21 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Madera rose to the challenge on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Rangers. The game was the first time the Coyotes have beaten the Rangers on their field since February 27, 2020.
Viviana Nombrano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Malea Ricks, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Emily Erwin, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Clovis North has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Madera, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.
Clovis North beat Madera 7-3 in their previous matchup back in March. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Coyotes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
