Pioneer has gone a perfect 10-0 against North White recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will square off against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m.
On Thursday, Pioneer came up short against West Lafayette and fell 3-1. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
While Pioneer ultimately came up short, they really made West Lafayette work, particularly in the third set. The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 26-24, 25-9.
Meanwhile, North White had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Knights as they made off with a 3-0 victory.
North White's got stronger as the match went on, holding DeMotte Christian to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-11.
Pioneer better focus on containing Ella Hunt and Adriann Conn as the pair were huge in North White's win. Hunt had seven digs and three aces, while Conn had six digs and two aces. That's the most digs Hunt has posted over her last six matchups.
North White was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in four consecutive matches.
North White's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Pioneer, their loss dropped their record down to 17-14.
Pioneer took their victory against North White in their previous meeting back in September of 2021 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
