The Lathrop Mules's five-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Lawson out 39-36. The victory was just what Lathrop needed coming off of a 57-37 defeat in their prior match.
Lawson's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaac Willoughby, who scored 9 points along with 12 rebounds. Willoughby is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Mayne, who scored 7 points.
Lathrop's win bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Lawson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lathrop will take on Savannah at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawson, they will be playing at home against Cameron at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cameron is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
