Heights has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heights is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Heights fell victim to Blue Valley West and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Falcons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Clayton Rittel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Heights is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-8 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Heights saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Aaron, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple.
Meanwhile, Bishop Carroll entered their tilt with East on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Aces with a sharp 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.
Nick Wineland looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Tucker Crowley was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aedyn Acosta, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Bishop Carroll's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Heights, they moved to 9-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Heights has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like Bishop Carroll struggles in that department as they've averaged .497. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Heights came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Carroll when the teams last played last Tuesday, sneaking past 13-11. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
