The Warsaw Tigers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 76-48 loss at the hands of Le Roy. Warsaw was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Le Roy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Leading Le Roy to victory were Jean Agosto and Merritt Holly Jr.. Agosto scored 20 points along with seven rebounds, while Holly Jr. dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Holly Jr. has scored at least a third of Le Roy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cal Koukides, who scored four points along with two steals.
Warsaw has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Le Roy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warsaw will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Perry at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Le Roy, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Bloomfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 601st, while Le Roy is ranked 200th).
