The Chavez Titans will square off against the Stagg Delta Kings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chavez will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Chavez was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Franklin on Monday. The Titans blew past the Yellowjackets 16-3. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Natalia Dias made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kimora Bell, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Natally Sanchez, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.
Chavez kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Stagg unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 6-3 to Edison. Delta Kings fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Vikings since on Monday.
Aerie Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 13 Ks.
At the plate, Rachael Symoungkhoune made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Stagg's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Chavez, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.
Chavez might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Stagg in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Titans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
