The McLaurin Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Noxubee County 68-31. McLaurin lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 50-47 score last time.
Despite the defeat, McLaurin saw an underclassman step up: K.J. Cannon scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
McLaurin has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season. As for Noxubee County, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
McLaurin will take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Enterprise has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 16. As for Noxubee County, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
