The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Arnold on the road and fell 46-19. Port St. Joe has not had much luck with the Marlins recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Port St. Joe lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zaylnn Kilpatric, who scored five points along with two steals.
Leading Arnold to victory were Ashley Steen and Morgan Dixon. Steen scored 11 points, while Dixon scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dixon has scored all season.
Port St. Joe's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.0 points per game. As for Arnold, their win bumped their record up to 9-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port St. Joe and the Tigers will face off at 5:15 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Blountstown will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak. As for Arnold, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
