Among those leading the charge was Karigan Mullen, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals. Mullen is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Mariana Tuscano was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Despite the loss, Brookfield still got an impressive performance from Cailey Wellman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Wellman scored a full 42.4% of Brookfield's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mya Jumper, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
Springfield now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Brookfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
