Barry Western waltzed into their contest on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Griggsville-Perry Tornadoes. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Thursday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Barry Western took both sets by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-9.

Barry Western found their leader in sophomore Alysa Bareis, who had 15 assists and seven aces. Those seven aces set a new season-high mark for Bareis. Reese Bushmeyer also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Barry Western's win bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Griggsville-Perry, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.
