If the Pleasanton Blu-Jays were feeling good off their 54-27 takedown of the St. Paul Indians back in December of 2023, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pleasanton fell just short of Northeast by a score of 41-38. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pleasanton has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Pleasanton still got an impressive performance from Tony Gillespie, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. Gillespie scored a full 55.3% of Pleasanton's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mario Davis, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Pleasanton bumped their record down to 3-3 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Northeast, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Pleasanton will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jayhawk Linn at 5:00 p.m. As for Northeast, they will head out on the road to face off against Southeast on Friday. Southeast is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
