The Encina Prep Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Delta 92-73. The win was familiar territory for Encina Prep who now have four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Encina Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Phillip Worsham, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine assists. Worsham is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Grace, who scored 22 points.
Lucas Keller and Max Danila certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Keller scored 33 points along with eight rebounds, while Danila almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Keller has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gavin McAllister, who scored nine points.
Even though they lost, Delta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Encina Prep only pulled down two offensive rebounds.
Encina Prep's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Delta, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.
Encina Prep will look to defend their home court on Friday against Woodland Christian at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Encina Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 18 matches.
