Wake Christian Academy won against Harrells Christian Academy last Monday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Bulldogs' way against the Franklin Academy Patriots as they made off with an 8-1 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Carter Collins, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Trace Turner, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Wake Christian Academy pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Franklin Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Looking ahead, Wake Christian Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Burlington Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Royals will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Franklin Academy, they will face off against East Wake Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
