Basketball Recap: Hancock Central Takes a Loss

Hancock Central lost against Warren County back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hancock Central Bulldogs took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warren County Screaming Devils. The Bulldogs were down 51-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the defeat, Hancock Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bryston Reynolds went 5 of 6 en route to 11 points and five rebounds. Reynolds is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Makai Davis, who posted nine points.

Hancock Central's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Warren County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Hancock Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-47 win against Jefferson County on the 20th. As for Warren County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-49 defeat against Greene County on the 17th.
