The Palo Verde Titans will take on the Duncan Wildkats at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Duncan will be up against a hot Palo Verde team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Palo Verde was the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over San Miguel on Tuesday. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.

David Burgoyne made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Burgoyne was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Christian Felix, who scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Pedrego, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Duncan posted their closest victory since April 4, 2024 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Baboquivari, sneaking past 11-9. The Wildkats haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Like Palo Verde, Duncan also got a great game from a two-way player: Isaac Harris. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Harris didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.
Harris wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Hernandez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That home run marked the first that Hernandez launched this season. Dayton Penry was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Palo Verde's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Duncan, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Palo Verde hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .352. However, it's not like Duncan struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
