The Lathrop Spartans will challenge the Central Valley Hawks at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Lathrop will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Lathrop is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have   all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Livingston 61-27. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won four matchups by 27  points or more  so far this season.

 Treydon Santos continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 237 yards and three  touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also picking up 47 receiving yards and one  score. Those  three  rushing touchdowns gave  him a new career-high.  Humza Habibi was another key rusher, rushing for 120 yards and one  TD on only nine carries.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lathrop was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 506  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Santos, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
 Meanwhile,  Central Valley played a tough  contest  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against  Johansen, falling  28-7. The  game marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Lathrop's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Central Valley,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Friday's   contest might be decided on the ground. Lathrop has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 291.9  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Central Valley struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 176.5  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
