The Sugar-Salem Diggers will take on the North Fremont Huskies at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sugar-Salem will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
On Monday, Sugar-Salem made easy work of Teton and carried off a 20-1 victory. The Diggers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by nine runs or more this season.
Hank Carter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Carter was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Kace Malstrom was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those five hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sam Chappell, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Firth hit North Fremont with a ten-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies came up short against the Cougars, falling 12-1.
Garrett Owens was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI. Hunter Hogle was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Sugar-Salem pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for North Fremont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-1 record this season.
Everything went Sugar-Salem's way against North Fremont in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, as Sugar-Salem made off with a 17-4 win. Will the Diggers repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
