It was a good run, but the Pawnee Black Bears unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to Pawhuska 36-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pawnee has scored all season.
Leading Pawhuska to victory were Lane Kyler and Trenton Miles. Kyler scored eight points along with nine rebounds, while Miles almost dropped a triple-double on nine points, ten rebounds, and nine blocks.
Pawnee's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-10. As for Pawhuska, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.
Pawnee will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Panthers at 8:00 p.m. As for Pawhuska, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Newkirk has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
