Union is 8-1 against Edmond North since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Union Redhawks will be playing at home against the Edmond North Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Union will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Union was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. They enjoyed a cozy 37-21 victory over Edmond Memorial. Given Union's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked third, while Edmond Memorial is ranked 60th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Issac Covington had a dynamite game for Union, rushing for 229 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per carry. Covington was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 49 points the game before, Edmond North were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were dealt a 48-10 loss at the hands of Mustang. Edmond North was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-3.
Union's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Edmond North, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
