The Bowne Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Francis Lewis Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bowne has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,219 points over their last 16 contests.
Even though Eagle Academy III scored an imposing 70 points on Tuesday, Bowne still came out on top. Bowne took down Eagle Academy III 87-70.
Josiah Salmon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Khaleel Williams-Mitchell, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Francis Lewis lost to Far Rockaway at home by a decisive 46-31 margin on Saturday. Francis Lewis has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bowne has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Francis Lewis, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
Everything went Bowne's way against Francis Lewis in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as Bowne made off with a 82-58 win. With Bowne ahead 56-21 at the half, the game was all but over already.
