 Gabrielle Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Harrison Central's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Emilye Seiferd, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.  Autumn Brown also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
Harrison Central's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-10. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Biloxi,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 10-7.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrison Central will venture away from home to  challenge Gulfport  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Biloxi, they are taking a road trip to  take on Bay  at 3:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Biloxi is facing Bay at the right time seeing as Bay is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
