The Campbell County Cougars lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a rough 61-32 loss at the hands of Oak Ridge. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Campbell County has scored all season.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carley Kitts, who scored six points.
Campbell County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-5 record this season. As for Oak Ridge, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-7.
Campbell County will head out on the road to challenge Halls at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Halls will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Campbell County is ranked 57th). As for Oak Ridge, they will head out on the road to square off against Knoxville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Oak Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 530 points over their last seven matches.
