The biggest upset of the week belonged to Salem, who took down 102nd ranked Cathedral, 14-12. Cameron Robinson ran for 73 yards in the win.
Dexter was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in 1A Region 4. The Bulldogs defeated Resurrection Catholic 33-7 earlier in the week.
Bogue Chitto's dynamic duo of Brock Roberts and Germie Martin proved tough for Hinds County Agricultural to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Roberts threw for 102 yards and one touchdown and Martin had 54 yards receiving. Brandon Wells helped Bogue Chitto's passing attack out by catching three balls for 26 yards.
Tevin Moore was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 133 yards on 20 carries as Stringer beat the Bulldogs. Teammate Anthony Moore added to the ground attack by rushing for 107 yards.
Bogue Chitto's Roberts and Martin have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Roberts has thrown for 577 yards this season, while Martin has 22 catches for 397 yards. Stevie Quinn from the Wildcats leads the league in rushing with 557 yards.
A big matchup in 1A Region 4 this week will be when Gareth Sartin's team takes on Salem. As it stands, the Bobcats are in first, while Kenneth Murphy's team is in third.
The Wildcats moved up to 182 from 243 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 14-12 win over the Green Wave helped Salem improve its standing.
