Softball Recap: Calvary Chapel Academy Has No Trouble Against Palm Bay

Calvary Chapel Academy's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Palm Bay Pirates 20-7. Considering the Eagles have won six matchups by more than 12 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Miriam Stuart was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Angelina McMackin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Calvary Chapel Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palm Bay only posted an OBP of .423.

Calvary Chapel Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Palm Bay, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Chapel Academy will head out to face off against Master's Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 12 runs per game this season. As for Palm Bay, they will venture away from home to square off against Titusville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
